Introduction to EndNote and Fundamentals of Instructional Design This hands-on course on April 15, 2008 will introduce participants to the bibliographic file management system EndNote. This course will explore the EndNote software program and will exhibit how manuscript preparation services can provide libraries an opportunity to offer and wider range of services and educational opportunities for their clientele. In addition, participants will be introduced to the key contributions of Robert Gagne and John Kellers' ARCS model for producing and delivering sound instructional design. The ADDIE model will be used as a guide for the instructional development of an EndNote course (which can also be used towards other course offerings). Upon briefly covering the theory of these instructional design components, participants will have the opportunity to collaborate and put theory into practice by completing a sample design document that they then can incorporate into educational offerings within their respective environments.
