PROGRAM GOAL
The goal of this program is to provide a basic understanding of disaster planning and service continuity, assess the effect of disaster on health sciences library services, and provide a basic template for disaster planning.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
- understand the basics of service continuity
- recognize other services the library can offer in the event of a disaster
- understand the importance of risk assessment for your geographic area
- introduce the importance of buddy or backup libraries
- identify the public health aspects of a disaster and its impact on information services
